Somatic Psychotherapy Basics: Integrating Reichian and Neo-Reichian Interventions: Class Policies
Payment
● Participants register for the full 13-session program rather than individual classes.
● This is a structured, sequential training in which each class builds on the previous one. Payment is collected monthly prior to the two classes that month. P
● Payments are accepted in the form of cash, check, zelle (using [email protected]), or credit card (via an app called Ivy Pay).
Attendance
● Participants must attend 100% of each session to receive CE credit. Partial credit is permitted based on the amount of time you were present.
● Missed time cannot be made up for CE purposes.
● With other students' permission, the teacher can record the class so that those who might need to miss a class can have access to the material.
● Students are expected to engage in experiential learning, discussions, and somatic-awareness exercises.
● Professional and ethical conduct is required at all times.
Completion of Evaluations
● NBCC and the MBSWE require participants to complete a course evaluation to receive CE credit.
Informed Consent & Professional Use
● Participants must understand that experiential exercises are educational and not psychotherapy.
● Any clinical examples used in the training must protect client confidentiality.
● Client information will not be disclosed by a presenter or participant unless proper informed consent has been obtained for use in a continuing education program. Composites of real-life case examples can be used instead to maintain confidentiality.
Confidentiality of Participant Information
● Student’s confidentiality will be maintained. All records will be kept in a HIPPA-compliant manner. Information such as name, telephone number, email address, and financial information will be kept confidential.
● If there is a confidentiality breach, affected parties will be notified immediately.
Program Complaints
If a participant or potential participant would like to express a concern about Aaron Schneider or
a continuing education program provided by Schneider Counseling, the individual may call 443-738-5136 or email [email protected]. Although we do not guarantee a particular outcome, Aaron Schneider will consider the complaint, make any necessary decisions, and respond within two business days.
Fees, Refunds, and Cancellation
● The class fee is $50 per hour ($10/hour extra for social workers seeking CE credit) and the fees are due at the beginning of the month before that month's classes begins. You are not obliged to pay for the remainder of the classes if your participation doesn’t feel right for you.
● To elaborate on pricing, the total monthly cost will be $250 for social workers not pursuing CE's and for LCPC's pursuing CE's and $300 for CE-pursuing social workers (it cost Schneider Counseling extra to obtain a co-sponsor for social workers CE's).
● As long as you are enrolled in the class, you are obligated to pay for the class each month, even if you miss a class.
● No refunds will be issued for classes already taken or for the month you already paid for.
Record Keeping and Retention
● Aaron Schneider will maintain records for seven years about student participation.
